How Much CBD Should You Give Your Dog?

There is a starting point for giving CBD Oil

Start low and go slow

It seems the general consensous is to start at 1mg of CBD per 10 pounds of weight.
That is just a starting point.

So a 60 pound dog would start with around 6mg a day. This seems to be good for arthritis pain and anxiety.

But like humans all dogs are different. You can double the amount if you don’t see any change for the better in a couple of days. If see slight changes keep at the same dose for a couple of more days. If the improvement continues you are on the right path.

When the improvement stalls you can up the dose.

How much CBD for Heart issues, Cancer or Liver Disease?

We don’t know once again.

But studies were conducted with 4mg/kg, twice daily with no side effects in most dogs. The side effects went away after stopping the dosing of CBD.

To put it in perspective we say start at 1mg/10 pounds and they dose at 4mg/pound. That is almost 40 times more than what we say to start with.

CBD Oil is Like Aspirin …

Like aspirin or another pain medicine it works for some but not all. And somedays it takes 2 pills and another day it takes 6.

CBD Oil is the same way. You have to figure it out as you go. Pay attention and you can see signs when your dog needs more CBD.
